Lecture offers information on hip restoration
Hinsdale – Come learn about the options available to people dealing with hip pain during free a lecture offered Dec. 12.

Dr. Benjamin Domb will present “Hip Restoration – From Arthroscopy to Robots” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook, 1401 W. 22nd St. in Oak Brook.

Domb will offer those attending information on the latest methods available to treat hip pain, including minimally invasive surgical alternatives.

“People are not always aware of what’s out there for them,” Domb said. “My aim is to make sure everyone is fully educated on opportunities to reduce their pain and help them get on with their active lives.”

The lecture is free, and those interested in attending can register by calling (630) 856-7525, or by visiting and clicking on “Education and Events.”

Specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the hip and knee, Domb has pioneered hip arthroscopy through his work. He offers innovative treatment for hip injuries such as impingement and labral tears. He has treated patients from across the country, and helped care for professional athletes from the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, and Galaxy as well as the Sacramento Kings.

Adventist Hinsdale Hospital is the only west suburban hospital to offer MAKOplasty® surgical technology. This minimally invasive hip and knee procedure uses a robotic arm to provide a high level of surgical accuracy, resulting in shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery for patients.
