Robert Nutt - Between running a successful consulting business and several volunteer commitments, Robert Nutt manages to fit in downhill skiing, long-distance bike rides and marathons. But a cycling accident almost put an end to his active lifestyle, tearing almost every ligament in his left knee. Robert started physical therapy uncertain if he’d ever be able to race again. Dr. Steven Chudik performed a five-hour surgery to repair the damage and Robert spent the following five weeks in a brace. Determined to return to his former level of activity, he fully committed to the rehabilitation program designed for him by Adventist Orthopedic Care’s recovery team. After six months, he began biking one to two miles a day to start. Before long, he was working towards running a marathon. Today, Robert continues to compete in several marathons and long-distance rides a year, as well as downhill skiing without reservation.
