Adventist Health Partners one of Modern Healthcare’s ‘hottest’

Adventist Health Partners has been named one of Modern Healthcare’s “hottest” companies in the United States. The magazine’s “Healthcare’s Hottest” program recognizes the fastest growing healthcare companies that are headquartered in the U.S., have at least $20 million in revenue for 2011 and have been in business for at least five years.

Adventist Health Partners is a growing physician group of more than 180 doctors in primary and specialty care. The group serves Chicago’s western suburbs in more than 50 convenient locations. Adventist Health Partners has adopted the patient-centered medical home model of care, which provides patients with more personalized care because physicians and support staff get to know patients and their health history.

“Because Adventist Health Partners is committed to putting patients first, patients are choosing us for their care, time and time again,” said Pam Williams, chief executive officer of Adventist Health Partners. “Being named to Modern Healthcare’s ‘Healthcare’s Hottest’ list is further recognition of our success, which is built upon our 20-year history of successful partnerships with physicians. We are very proud of both our growth and the quality of our physicians as evidenced by their Press Ganey rankings, which are at the 90th percentile compared to their national peers.”

Further growth efforts include:
* The addition of more than 35 new primary care physicians in 2012;
* The addition of 30 new sub-specialty physicians in 2012;
* Continuation of active negotiations with more than two dozen community-based independent practices in addition to individual physicians contemplating leaving other independent and large health care organizations to join Adventist Health Partners due to its long term and financially successful and sustainable model of physician alignment.

The 2012 Healthcare’s Hottest program identified the 40 fastest growing companies in the following sectors: hospitals/hospital systems, physician group practices, payers/insurers and suppliers.

“Being named to Modern Healthcare’s list of the Healthcare’s Hottest for 2012 demonstrates Adventist Health Partners’ ability to increase their financial health despite the economic downturn and tepid recovery,” said Fawn Lopez, vice president and publisher of Modern Healthcare.

Adventist Health Partners, a nonprofit, privately-held company, is one of seven physician group practices on the list. With specialists in family medicine, internal medicine, vascular and interventional radiology, cardiology, geriatrics, neurology, gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, orthopedics, sports medicine and otolaryngology, Adventist Health Partners physicians admit patients to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, Adventist GlenOaks Hospital, Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital.

Adventist Health Partners’ 2011 revenue was $58.7 million. The organization’s corporate office is located at 2001 Butterfield Road, Suite 920, Downers Grove. Adventist Health Partners is owned by Adventist Health System, the nation’s largest Protestant not-for-profit health system.

Modern Healthcare will announce the ranked order of the 40 companies in September. To check out the contenders, visit the publication’s website.
