The Adventist Cancer Institute and Outpatient Center
A cancer diagnosis affects the whole family – not just the individual patient. The established routines of daily living are disrupted. Plans for the future evaporate. Unanswered questions breed fear. Changed priorities strain relationships. The Adventist Cancer Institute and Outpatient Center, under construction on Ogden Avenue, will keep the needs of patients and their families foremost as they journey forward with our experienced, compassionate team of cancer caregivers.
Our new Cancer Center will be an architecturally and functionally unique campus focused on delivery of highest quality care close to home. Our goal is to achieve extraordinary outcomes for our patients and their families, including providing services and treatments that reflect the best new medicine and technologies.
Our greatest challenge is to raise sufficient funding to create the new cancer center. The entire budget is between $35,000,000 -$40,000,000, of which the hospital is relying upon the Foundation to raise 25–30 percent of the construction cost, coming to $11,000,000. This vital resource for the community relies heavily on the Foundation’s ability to raise this very significant proportion of the total budget from individual donors and community institutions.
