Glendale Heights – Adventist GlenOaks Hospital recognized local emergency response personnel by hosting its annual EMS Appreciation Golf Outing Aug. 15 at Glendale Lakes Golf Course in Glendale Heights.
Golfers from the Addison, Bloomingdale, Glenside and Hanover Park Fire Departments were among the nearly 100 attendees. The event is a tradition that began in the 1980s.
The Addison Fire Protection District again won the coveted Chief’s Trophy, which will be on display at the firehouse for another year. The winning team was made up of foursome Jack Bremer, Chris Sterricker, Jeff Weiglos and Greg Hamm.
“We appreciate our emergency responders because we couldn’t take care of our ER patients without their compassion, expertise and support,” said Bruce C. Christian, chief executive officer of Adventist GlenOaks Hospital. “These local heroes are to be commended for their numerous contributions to our community.”
