Glendale Heights – The GlenOaks Hospital Foundation is hosting its 17th annual invitational golf classic at 10 a.m. June 15 at the Itasca Country Club, 400 E. Orchard St., Itasca. Proceeds will benefit women’s health services at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital. In the past, the event has raised $20,000.
“In addition to raising the financial resources to support women’s health services, we are excited to have the opportunity to increase awareness of the programs and services available for our community at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital.” said Michelle Whetstone executive director of GlenOaks Hospital Foundation.
The event will be filled with food, activities, and special guest appearance by Chicago Bears’ punter Brad Maynard.
For those that would like to take part in this remarkable event but are not interested in golf, there is a “dinner only” option in which you can book a table for eight for $350.
The golf classic begins at 10 a.m. with registration and practice putting green. A buffet lunch is served on the patio at 10:30 a.m., followed by the shotgun start at noon. Evening festivities start at 5 p.m. with the “million dollar shoot out”- a chance for four lucky raffle winners to win $1 million if they hit a hole-in-one. There will also be hors d’oeuvres, and a meet and greet with Maynard. The final activities start at 6:15 p.m. with dinner, an awards ceremony, and a silent auction.
