Golf event raises $30,000 for women’s health
Glendale Heights – More than $30,000 was raised by the GlenOaks Hospital Foundation during its 17th annual invitational golf classic, making it the organization’s most successful golf event ever. The event was held June 15 at the Itasca Country Club. Proceeds benefit women’s health services at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital.
“We are so grateful to the community for their continued support of this event,” said Michelle Whetstone, executive director of GlenOaks Hospital Foundation. “In addition to raising financial resources to support women’s health services, we were able to increase awareness of the programs and services available for our community at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital.”
In addition to golf, the event was filled with food, activities, a silent auction, and a special guest appearance by Chicago Bears’ punter Brad Maynard.
Major sponsors included: Block Electric, Superior Ambulance Service, the Adventist GlenOaks Hospital medical staff, J.P. Salemi, Inc., Suburban Radiologists, S.C., Bob Peacock, Joyce Van Der Molen, Proteus Group, PCI FlorTech, Inc., Sunrise Chevrolet, and Anderson, Rasor & Partners, LLP.
