Bolingbrook – Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Murrill to vice president/chief financial officer, effective July 31. Murrill had been finance manager at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital since 2008. Both hospitals are part of Adventist Midwest Health.
Murrill has worked within Adventist Health System for nine years, starting as a resident in the two-year administrative residency program at Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, Colo. Upon completion of the program, he worked for three years in business operations for the perioperative services department. He then worked as finance manager at Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, Colo., before coming to work in Illinois.
“Mike is a strategic finance manager and skilled advisor,” said Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital Chief Executive Officer Rick Mace. “His natural charisma and team-building style makes him a fitting addition to our hospital’s executive team.”
Murrill earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Colorado and received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich.
A resident of Hinsdale, Murrill and his wife, Melissa, have two sons, Mason, 3, and Max, 1 ½.
“Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital has accomplished so much since its opening in 2008,” Murrill said. “I look forward to building on those achievements and tackling new challenges.”
Murrill replaces Todd Anderson, who left Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital to become chief financial officer of Grandview Medical Center and Southview Medical Center, part of Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network.
