U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam plaque to be unveiled at hospital
Glendale Heights, IL – At 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, Adventist GlenOaks Hospital officials will dedicate a plaque in honor of U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam, R-Wheaton, and personally thank him for securing $190,000 in federal funds for the hospital’s new no-wait emergency room. The funds were part of a $55 million appropriation Roskam secured for the Sixth Congressional District in the fiscal year 2008 Omnibus Appropriations bill signed by President Bush in December.
The emergency room’s radiology suite also will be dedicated in memory of former U.S. Rep. Henry Hyde, Roskam’s predecessor, who passed away in 2007.
Media are invited to cover the event.
