Two nursing executives join hospital’s surgery team

Hinsdale – Adventist Hinsdale Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of two leaders to its surgical services team. Sherry Goldstein, BSN, MA, CNOR, has been named executive director of perioperative services and Judy Gregorowicz, RN, BSN, has been named assistant director of perioperative services.

A registered nurse with 24 years of experience, Goldstein has been a nursing director since 1990. Prior to joining Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, Goldstein was a healthcare consultant with 18 years of progressive leadership experience in areas including supply chain and hospital management. She is a graduate of Northwestern University, earned a master’s degree in healthcare management from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo., and achieved CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification. A Wauconda resident, Goldstein also was an adjunct instructor at Triton Community College in River Grove.

Gregorowicz, a Winfield resident, has more than 28 years of operating room experience at several top hospitals in the Chicago region. Before joining Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, she served as manager of perioperative services at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. She earned her RN degree from Ravenswood Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago and her BSN from Lewis University in Romeoville.

“Sherry and Judy are experienced nursing leaders who are focused on delivering quality patient care,” said Lesia Douglas, vice president/chief nursing officer at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. “I am excited to welcome them to our team.”

The appointments were effective Oct. 6. Both are members of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN); Goldstein is president of the organization’s Chicago chapter.
