Bolingbrook – Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of two nurses to leadership positions. Liz Cader, RN, is director of emergency services, effective March 1. Cader, of Aurora, most recently served as director of emergency services, ambulatory care, and respiratory care at Loretto Hospital in Chicago. She previously worked at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. She earned her nursing degree at St. Francis School of Nursing in Evanston and currently is pursuing a master’s degree in nursing from St. Francis.

“Liz is an experienced leader who has shown considerable success in emergency department operations and has demonstrated consistent top box scores for patient and employee satisfaction wherever she has worked,” said Jolene Albaugh, interim chief nursing officer of Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.

Angela Murray, RN, BSN, TNS, CEN, is trauma coordinator for the emergency department, effective Jan. 18. She will report to Cader and will work closely with Dr. Jason Goliath, trauma program medical director, as well as the emergency department staff and EMS squads. Most recently Murray, a Plainfield resident, was an emergency room charge nurse at Edward Hospital in Naperville. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Valparaiso University and is pursuing a master’s degree in nursing from Lewis University.

The appointments of Cader and Murray come four months after the promotion of Sue Smith, RN, from emergency room director at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital to regional emergency management coordinator for Adventist Midwest Health, which comprises Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, Adventist GlenOaks Hospital in Glendale Heights, Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital.
