Health programs on tap at Adventist Hinsdale, Adventist La Grange Memorial

Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital are offering free health education programs at the Oak Brook Park District. Details are below:

Treatment for chronic knee pain need not result in total knee replacement. Learn about partial knee resurfacing when orthopedic surgeon Dr. Michael Durkin presents “Is Knee Pain Slowing You Down?” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 7 at the Oak Brook Park District, 1450 Forest Gate Road in Oak Brook.

The minimally invasive procedure can result in a shorter hospital stay, more rapid recovery and a more natural feeling knee. It is often recommended over total knee replacement for patients with early to mid-stage osteoarthritis.

The class is presented in partnership with Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. Register online at www.keepingyouwell.com, or call (630) 856-7525.

Is your child considered a problem child? Is it because of not enough sleep or sleep disturbance? Is your child losing focus at school? Have they been diagnosed with ADHD? Dr. Hari Bandla, a pediatric sleep specialist, will discuss the correlation between ADHD and sleep disorders from 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 8 at the Oak Brook Park District, 1450 Forest Gate Road in Oak Brook. This lecture will focus on ADHD diagnosis, how treating a sleep disorder may help your child, how to have your child evaluated, and options for parents who have encountered this diagnosis with their children.

The class is presented in partnership with Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. Register online at www.keepingyouwell.com, or call (630) 856-7525.

Are you tired of living with chronic hip pain? Learn about a minimally invasive hip restoration procedure from orthopedic surgeon Dr. Benjamin Domb from 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 14 at the Oak Brook Park District, 1450 Forest Gate Road in Oak Brook.

The procedure can result in a shorter hospital stay and faster recovery, getting you back to activities such as walking and gardening quicker than other surgeries. The class is presented in partnership with Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. Register online at www.keepingyouwell.com, or call (630) 856-7525.
