Bolingbrook – Hundreds of babies born at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital will celebrate the hospital’s first birthday at a family-oriented celebration. The families of the more than 700 babies born at the hospital during its first year in operation have been invited to the party, scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodeo Drive, Bolingbrook. A special celebration, including a cupcake snack and “Happy Birthday” singalong, is scheduled at 2 p.m.
The invitation-only event is free to families of babies who were born at the hospital in 2008. Media are invited to cover the celebration, which will feature refreshments, balloons and prizes.
“What better way to commemorate our first birthday than to gather with the families of babies who will celebrate their first birthday in 2009,” said Rick Mace, chief executive officer of Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. “This is a milestone not only for our hospital, but for so many families in our community whose babies were born right here in Bolingbrook.”
