Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital seeks input on new cancer and outpatient center
On behalf of Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, the Hinsdale Hospital Foundation invites community members to share their vision for a new cancer and outpatient treatment center. This is part of a second round of focus groups that were scheduled following the completion of four very successful sessions in April.
The center, proposed to be built on Ogden Avenue in Hinsdale, is the second phase of Adventist Hinsdale Hospital’s modernization project. The first is the construction of a new patient pavilion on the hospital’s main campus.
This 90-minute focus group will take place at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, Dixon Auditorium, 5101 S. Willow Springs Road, La Grange, 5:30-7 p.m. June 23.
Focus group members are invited to provide insight and feedback to help shape the strategy of the cancer and outpatient treatment center, said Susan King, executive director of the Hinsdale Hospital Foundation. Plans for the center include a pharmacy, physician offices, and imaging, radiation and oncology services.
“So many of us have been touched by cancer,” King said. “People have very strong opinions about what a cancer treatment center should look like. Our community already is invested in this project and we want to hear more from them.”
The goal of the foundation’s capital campaign, “Your Family, Your Health, Our Commitment,” is to raise $22 million for the construction project.
