Glendale Heights – Adventist GlenOaks Hospital is proud to present monthly lunch and learn programs for seniors. These complimentary events will help enhance your life and the lives of your loved ones. Events are held at the Glendale Heights Center for Senior Citizens, 260 Civic Center Plaza, Glendale Heights.
This month’s lunch and learn topic is “Beating the Holiday Blues,” presented by Niccole K. Brusa, Psy. D. Thoughts of missed friends and loved ones can prove overwhelming, especially during the holiday season, and Brusa will discuss how to identify when overwhelming feelings might be signs of more serious issues. A free luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the presentation will begin at 12 p.m.
Plan ahead for January’s lunch and learn event “Eating Well As We Age,” presented by Dr. Yasmeen Ansari of Wood Dale Family Medicine, who will teach what you need to know about nutrition, obesity, and eating well as we age. A free luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the presentation will begin at 12 p.m.
