Using our state-of-the-art imaging systems, images are immediately available throughout the Adventist Midwest Health online system. They're read onsite and findings are quickly reported to you and your physician, with results often available within hours after testing. DaTscan: A New Test to Help Diagnose Parkinson's Disease

DaTscan is  used to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease. Performed in the nuclear medicine department at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, this test is a powerful new tool that can help doctors confirm a diagnosis and decide a course of treatment. 


Adventist Hinsdale Hospital is one of the first in Chicago's western suburbs to offer the most advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system.

3T MRI ScannerThe new 3T MRI scanner provides the clearest, most detailed images available. Quiet, spacious and fast, the 3T MRI scanner does not emit radiation and offers a number of features to enhance your comfort and reduce anxiety including:

  • Patients can listen to music during the scanning
  • Widest opening available improves the experience for those who experience anxiety in close spaces
  • Usable images can be obtained despite small movements, such as those common in examining children
  • Enhanced weight capacity better accommodates larger patients
  • Faster procedure times; some scans can take as little as 15 minutes
  • Board-certified radiologists on site to read images
