A Total Approach
The Coping With Grief support group responds to the needs of the whole person - mental, physical, spiritual and social. The program focuses on interpersonal sharing and support, and helps you put your memories into perspective, so that life resumes in a more regular pattern. It provides you with an ongoing support system
Creating a Healing Environment
The program is guided by professionals from Adventist St. Thomas Hospice, who create an atmosphere of caring and compassion, while maintaining confidentiality and dignity. The program leaders are sensitive to your individual needs and use group techniques that allow you to choose your level of participation. You learn to cope in your own way and to develop personal resources. The group is non-denominational and includes group-sharing and some take-home material.
Taking Your First Step
Coping With Grief is a free community service for those who have experienced a loss through death. It is open to everyone regardless of age, religion, sex, or nationality. The flexible, informal program is offered every Monday morning and evening.
