Hinsdale, IL – Adventist Paulson Pediatric Rehabilitation Center’s Little Feet, Big Hearts “Bowling for Little Feet” third annual silent auction fundraiser is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. April 10 at Lucky Strike, 100 Yorktown Shopping Court, Lombard.
Sponsored by the Hinsdale Hospital Foundation, the event is a major fundraiser for the rehabilitation center, an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation department treating children up to age 21 with cerebral palsy, orthopedic conditions, autism and speech disturbances, among other needs. The center’s mission is to help each child and family reach his or her highest level of independence.
Tickets for adults are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Tickets for children under age 12 are $15. For tickets, please call (630) 856-2663. The cost includes light appetizers, soft drinks and bowling. A silent auction also will be held.
The Little Feet, Big Hearts fund provides financial assistance for families who don’t have adequate insurance benefits to cover all their therapy needs. Many patients have annual insurance limitations for their therapy coverage, which typically runs out by September or October every year. That results in a difficult choice for families, who either have to pay out of pocket or pull their children out of therapy until January. The cost of a child undergoing therapy twice a week at Adventist Paulson Pediatric Rehabilitation Center from September to December is $6,000.
Adventist Paulson Pediatric Rehabilitation Center is located at 222 E. Ogden Ave., Hinsdale. For more information on the rehabilitation center, call (630) 856-2600.
