La Grange – The La Grange Memorial Hospital Foundation has named Dr. May T. Chow, Michael D. Doepke and Lori A. Birkey to its board of directors.
“We are excited to welcome these three new members to the Foundation’s board,” La Grange Memorial Hospital Foundation Executive Director Brett Skeen said. “Their leadership, interest, experience and talents will enhance our efforts to support the hospital’s mission.”
Dr. Chow is a resident of Downers Grove and works with Nephrology Associates of Northern Illinois in La Grange. She is also the medical director of the Fresenius Medical Care Willowbrook Dialysis Unit and has worked with the medicine patient care committee at Adventist La Grange Memorial and Adventist Hinsdale hospitals.
“I have been in practice at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital for 13 years and have gotten to know the staff very well,” Dr. Chow said. “I feel serving on the board of directors will give me personal satisfaction, giving back to the hospital and community that I deeply care about.”
Doepke is a Western Springs resident and is co-owner of Home Helpers Home Care in Hinsdale. He has an MBA in marketing from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colgate University. Doepke serves as vice president and board member with Aging Care Connections in La Grange and has worked as a board member with the Association of Senior Service Providers.
“Being a member of the Foundation’s board of trustees gives me an opportunity to provide my marketing and organizational experience to fundraising for the hospital,” Doepke said.
Birkey is a Western Springs resident and is the director of talent management with True Value Company in Chicago. She leads the Associate Board for True Value Foundation. She has a master’s degree in psychology from Illinois State University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University.
“After learning of the contributions made by the La Grange Memorial Hospital Foundation, I was inspired to become part of this group,” Birkey said. “The contributions are impressive and they clearly serve the patient community as part of their healing experience.”
