Your surgical team consists of the surgeon, registered nurse, certified scrub technicians, certified surgical assistant and anesthesia provider.

The operating room nurse will transport you from pre-op hold to the operating room. A "time-out" will be taken prior to starting your surgery. During the "time-out", the surgical team verifies that the correct procedure is being performed at the correct site on the correct patient. Surgery start time is when the surgeon begins the procedure.
