The Adventist La Grange Family Medicine Residency program is pleased to offer family medicine core clerkships to third year medical students.
Clerkships run for four or six weeks, and are a combination of clinics, lectures and seminars, group discussions, home health care, hospice and meetings with faculty.
We rotate six medical students at a time. We currently have medical students from Rush Medical College, Loyola School of Medicine, Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and University of Illinois at Chicago.
In addition to core clerkship slots, we offer M4 medical students a Family Medicine Sub I elective. the elective consists of a four week rotation in our hospital, rounding with a senior resident on inpatient service and several outpatient clinics in our Family Medicine center clinic.
To be eligible, medical students must currently be enrolled in a United States ACGME accredited medical school and must be highly interested in pursuing family medicine as a career.
The elective is available during the months of August, September, October and November only in a four-week block
