Visitor Information

Visitor Guidelines

Visitors are good medicine for the well-being and recovery of patients and are welcome during visiting hours. We ask that visitors follow these guidelines:

  • Be considerate of other patients by keeping noise to a minimum.
  • People with colds, sore throats or any contagious disease should not visit patients.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments.
  • Observe "No Visiting" and precaution signs before entering the room.
  • No smoking.

Visiting Hours

  • 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Consult nurse for children under 10. 
  • On some units, such as Intensive Care and The Family Maternity Center, visiting hours may vary. Please contact the individual unit for specific information.
  • For security purposes, the main entrances are secured from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Visitors will need to use the Emergency Entrance between these hours.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop, conveniently located off the main lobby, stocks a variety of toiletries, gifts, toys, greeting cards, flowers and plants.  Flowers are sold through the main reception desk on weekends.

Gift Shop hours are:

9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday
Closed Saturday and Sunday

Dining Room

Located on the ground level of Building B, the cafeteria offers a healthy selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, daily soup specials, daily grill specials, and fresh salad/fresh fruit items. 

Hours of Operation are:
Monday through Friday    6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
                                             11:15 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
                                             (CLOSED) 2:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
*Saturday and Sunday, the cafeteria opens at 7:00 a.m.  All other times are applicable.

Health Science Library and Information Center

Located on the first floor across from Radiology, the Library has a Health Advisor Database, up-to-date reference books and other resources to provide patients and their families with information. You may ask your nurse to request information for you, have a family member stop by, or call the library at ext. 7230.
