Life in La Grange
Outside of the responsibilities as a family practice resident, the program at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital offers opportunities for social interaction, personal growth and community involvement.
Interaction with fellow residents, faculty, medical staff and hospital staff extend beyond working hours to allow collegial relationships to develop. Residents participate in activities such as golf outings, an annual picnic and an annual tutor award banquet.
Regular interaction with the medical staff occurs at quarterly breakfasts held in the medical staff lounge, and residents have the opportunity to participate in numerous community events that assist local charities and allow residents to meet community leaders.
La Grange offers family practice residents the best of two worlds: the quiet, family-oriented lifestyle of the western suburbs as well as easy access to Chicago's vast array of cultural, entertainment and recreational offerings.
The western suburbs are known for their stable communities, low crime rates, excellent schools, abundance of shopping centers and varied recreational and cultural attractions, including museums, golf courses, parks and forest preserves.
Each neighborhood has its own personality, providing residents and their families many different opportunities for social interaction, personal growth and community involvement. Homes and apartments are available in all price ranges.
