La Grange – Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital will
host its ninth annual golf classic Aug. 18 at the La Grange Country Club, 620
S. Brainard Ave. Due to its popularity, the golf outing features a double
shotgun start. The first group will tee off at 8 a.m.; the second group at 1
p.m. This year’s theme is “Keeping Your Heart Health Up to Par.”
All proceeds will benefit the hospital’s new Patient Care Center
and will be matched by a grant from Community Memorial Foundation.
The $425 registration fee includes continental
breakfast, a barbecue lunch, 18 holes of golf with a cart, fore-caddies, beverages,
players’ gift, and dinner. Dr. Jerre Hines, president of Illinois Heart and
Vascular is the event’s honorary chairman.
“Last year we raised more than $70,000 for the patient
care center and I’m sure we can repeat our success again this year,” said Beth
Leuck, executive director of the La Grange Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The day will progress with fun, food and games –
including the famous “Beat the CEO” hole. This hole is set up for golfers to
try their hand at beating Rick Wright, Chief Executive Officer of Adventist La
Grange Memorial Hospital. There will be a live auction for vacation homes, golf
course get-a-ways and many other exciting prizes.
Golf spots and sponsorship opportunities are
available. For more information contact Diane Lillwitz at 708-245-2904.
