Adventist Hinsdale Hospital names
new behavioral health nurse manager
Hinsdale, IL – Adventist Hinsdale Hospital has appointed Jeffrey L. Pollack, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., R.N.C., as Director of Behavioral Health Services.
“We are very excited to have Jeff join our team,” said Jann Marks, R.N., C.N.A.A., M.B.A., vice president and chief nursing officer for Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. “His expertise in behavioral health care will only strengthen our program as we continue to provide services to our patients.”
Pollack has an extensive background in behavioral health services. Most recently, he was director of a 23-bed adolescent/adult/geriatric psychiatric unit in La Porte, Ind. He has considerable experience in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health program development including helping start an inpatient detoxification and outpatient substance abuse program.
“I’m very excited to be part of Adventist Midwest Health and support the vision for behavioral health services at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital,” Pollack said.
His previous experience includes work as a psychiatric nurse where he developed a state-funded mental health program for the community and provided counseling to chronically mentally ill adults. In addition, he has evaluated older adults for loss of independence, provided direct patient care to mentally ill adults and supervised clinical staff.
He received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Harry S. Truman in 1995, a Masters in Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a B.A. in Applied Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Pollack is a registered nurse in Illinois and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Pollack is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management and American Nursing Credentialing Center Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Certification. He was a founding member of National Alliance for Mentally Ill in La Porte, Ind.
