As a not-for-profit health care organization, AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center, Hinsdale embraces a rich tradition of providing benefit to the community.
All of the net income (profit margin) generated by the hospital is reinvested back into hospital programs and services. This benefits the patients and communities we serve rather than individual owners or shareholders.
In 2012, AMITA Health Hinsdale provided over $36 million in community benefit; including $2.8 million in charity care and services to the community.
The AMITA Health hospitals, clinically integrated and tied by common Community, Mission, Vision and Values, collaborated to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment in 2013. This assessment was used to determine the most significant health needs in our surrounding communities. The data was then used to develop a Community Health Plan to improve residents’ health. A copy of the Community Health Needs Assessment and Hinsdale's Community Health Plan is available through the Links section below.
