Located in Hinsdale, Illinois, just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, Hinsdale Family Medicine residents complete their inpatient training at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, a 436-bed tertiary care center, as well as at nearby outpatient centers.
Here, residents complete a comprehensive curriculum, training with the very best faculty and renowned specialists. As the only residents in the hospital, HFM residents have a unique opportunity to receive 1:1 resident to attending training in every area of the hospital—ICU, medicine, cardiology, ER, surgery and pediatrics—learning many different procedures along the way.

Our program is fully dual accredited for AOA and ACGME. The AOA Family Medicine Program was granted accreditation in July 2008 and has an affiliation agreement with Midwestern University/Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, for post-graduate medical education. We encourage DO students to apply using the American Osteopathic Association/Resident match program to make sure that they will be eligible for certification.
