YOUR GIFTS IN ACTION ~ The C.A.R.E. Channel comes to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital - courtesy of Hinsdale Hospital Foundation donors
 The Foundation recently provided funding to enhance our patients' comfort. Patients can now enjoy The C.A.R.E. Channel on the hospital’s channel 60.
C.A.R.E. Channel’s scenes of nature accompanied by original, instrumental music are designed to bring soothing calm to a difficult time. This alternative to commercial television aims to mask disturbing noises and provide a restorative environment to reduce stress, improve restfulness, and support pain management.
The C.A.R.E. day begins at 6am with a sunrise sequence leading to a wide variety of daytime images and music. A sunset sequence at 10pm is followed by relaxing music and a star field to help promote sleep.
As one caregiver has stated, “Healing has many dimensions. Art, music, and nature are part of that healing process. As caregivers we welcome an environment that nurtures our patients."
