About the Foundation

From Adventist Hinsdale Hospital’s beginnings in 1904 as the Hinsdale Sanitarium & Hospital, through the 1955 construction of the main hospital, to today’s new Patient Pavilion, we continue our century-long commitment to providing outstanding, compassionate health care for our community.

The Foundation's Role . . .

Because such exceptional care requires exceptional resources, Hinsdale Hospital Foundation’s mission is to build good will and philanthropic support for Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. Incorporated in 1986, the Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of local community members, physicians and Hospital executives.

A Legacy of Philanthropy. . .

Our efforts are rooted in the compassionate health care vision doctors David and Mary Paulson embraced when they formed the established Hinsdale Sanitarium & Hospitlal over a century ago. Assisted by the generous assistance of visionary philanthropists throughout our history, the hospital serves all in need of Christ's healing ministry.
