Keeping mother and baby healthy throughout pregnancy and childbirth is our top priority. Adventist GlenOaks Hospital has advanced resources to handle complications such as premature birth.
Level 2 Nursery
Our certified Level 2 Nursery means we can meet the needs of most babies right at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital, including babies born premature or those recovering from surgery.
Newborns with the most complex medical needs are transferred to the Level III newborn nursery at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. Hinsdale Hospital is part of the Adventist Midwest Health network, so you can expect a smooth transition for your baby and family.
Doctors Experienced with High-Risk Pregnancies
A perinatologist — a doctor who specializes in high-risk pregnancies — partners with expectant mothers who experience complications during pregnancy. Together, we focus on a safe outcome for mother and baby.
Nurses Who Care About You and Your Baby
You’ll find our nurses compassionate, caring and truly helpful. Whether you’re a first-time mom or a mom of many, you can look to our nurses for tips on feeding, bathing, soothing and caring for your baby.
Our caring doesn’t end when you leave Adventist GlenOaks Hospital. One of our nurses will call you a few days after you’re home — to check how you’re doing and to answer any questions.
Breastfeeding: Best for Your Baby
We encourage all mothers to consider breastfeeding their babies. In most cases, it’s the healthiest option for your baby’s immunity and growth. It’s also a good way to bond with your baby.
Our Lactation Consultant can help you get started. She’s here to answer your questions, and to help you and your newborn be successful with this natural way of nourishing your baby.
