Why Volunteer?

There are so many good reasons to consider becoming a volunteer at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital.

  • It feels good to give…it’s hard to describe the personal satisfaction that volunteers feel from knowing they are helping others. Whether it’s reaching out to the family and friends of someone who is ill or enhancing quality patient care by supporting our staff, volunteers are an essential part of making sure patients and visitors have the very best experience possible at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital.
  • Gain new skills…volunteering is a great way to learn new skills or keep your existing skills sharp.
  • Be part of a healing team…whether you are delivering meal trays, answering phones or transporting patients around the hospital, you’ll be supporting our staff and contributing to the healing mission of Adventist GlenOaks Hospital.
  • Make friends as you stay active…this is a wonderful opportunity to be with a tremendous team of healthcare professionals as well as making new friends with other volunteers. When you volunteer your time at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital, you’ll join a community of individuals dedicated to delivering an outstanding patient experience and quality care.

Other benefits of volunteering – when you work at least a 4-hour shift, you receive a meal card for use in our hospital cafeteria.
