Adventist GlenOaks Hospital Celebrates their DORS (Department of Rehabilitation Services) Students

Students from DuPage High School District 88, Addison Trail High School in Addison and Willowbrook High School in Villa Park participate in this innovative vocational program to provide students with special needs the chance to learn a vocational skill.  Adventist GlenOaks Hospital has been involved in this program for almost 10 years.  The program helps each student to maximize their potential within the vocational spectrum offered by the various units at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital.  Jim Marino is the Employment Specialist from Parents Alliance Employment Project who trains these students in the necessary soft skills to succeed on any job plus direct coaching and training on specific vocational job related skills.  Over the last five years nearly half of the special needs students have found competitive employment with local businesses.
