Bolingbrook – Heart disease is the number one killer of both men and women in America, affecting 61.8 million people. That’s why being serious about heart health is crucial. Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital is hosting a free program to help you kick-start your heart health during Heart Month.
Dr. James McMahon, a cardiologist who treats patients at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, will present “A Heart Health Program You Can Follow” at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, 500 Remington Boulevard, Bolingbrook. McMahon will discuss weight management, smoking cessation, control of lipids and an effective exercise program. Seating is limited; registration is required by calling 630-856-7525 or visiting www.keepingyouwell.com/abh.
“Heart disease doesn’t have to be a silent killer anymore,” McMahon said. “We know more about heart disease now than ever before. Since we know what causes it, we can potentially prevent it.”
