Bolingbrook – Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital
will host a free kidney screening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 24.
The National Kidney Foundation of Illinois KidneyMobile® will offer the free screenings, which will take place in the Inspire Room at the hospital, 500 Remington Blvd. in Bolingbrook. Hospital employees and the community are invited to attend. Appointments are not necessary.
Attendees can talk with doctor about their screening results and can tour the KidneyMobile. The Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network will also be on hand to provide information on organ and kidney donation.
“One in three American adults is at risk for kidney disease,” said Dr. Mohammed Ahmed
, a nephrologist who will be at the kidney screenings doing evaluations. “That’s why the hospital provides this type of education and screening, to keep the community informed.”
Registered Nurse Diane Tentler, Physician Liaison at the hospital, worked with the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois to bring the KidneyMobile to the hospital. This is the second time the hospital has hosted the event.
“We’re grateful for this partnership with the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois and thank them for their support,” Tentler said.
