Director's ability to think outside of the box earns him innovative thinking honor

Bolingbrook – When it comes to solving a problem at work, Kenneth Rose works hard to think ahead of the curve.

His duties as the Director of Adventist Plainfield Imaging and Outpatient center include pulling together services on the outpatient campus for seamless operations. He is responsible for managing finances, overseeing marketing, and making care for patients happen as smoothly as possible. Mr. Rose is always looking to improve whatever he can, which compels him to think outside of the box.

In all, Mr. Rose has spent 7 years working for Adventist Health Systems. He never had any intentions of going into health care, and entered the field of healthcare by accident. Adventist Health System’s mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ prompted him to join the company as an intern in Mission Development seven years ago. His hard work and dedication to the company has allowed him to move up the ladder quickly.

For his work with both his own staff and others, Mr. Rose was named the hospital’s Distinguished Leader for Innovative Thinking at a recent leadership meeting run by Adventist Midwest Health.

Still, the honor surprised Mr. Rose, who has worked at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital for the past 5 years.

“I feel very honored and excited to win this Distinguished Leader award,” he said. “I am thankful for my team’s dedication to excellence, and I cherish the time that I spend with them.”

“He is someone that I look up to,” said Rose Finder, office manager at Plainfield Imaging and Outpatient Center, “This is my first role as a manager and he is a mentor to me because he shows me different ways to handle things effectively. He is truly committed to Plainfield and our success.”

It is no coincidence that Mr. Rose’s hard work has led him to his latest promotion as the Director of Radiology for Adventist Hinsdale and La Grange Memorial Hospitals.

“I cannot wait to bring the knowledge I have learned in my previous position at Adventist Plainfield Imaging and Outpatient Center to my new position,” said Mr. Rose.
