News Release: Jan. 1, 2016 AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center, Bolingbrook welcomes first baby of 2016
Bolingbrook – AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center, Bolingbrook welcomed the first baby of 2016 on New Year’s Day. A boy, NyHeir Irie Stroud, was born to Ebony Carter and Steve Stroud of Bolingbrook at 4:16 a.m., Friday, Jan. 1, 2016.
NyHeir weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19 inches long. Carter’s original due date was Dec. 31, but then it got pushed to January 10. The couple had come to the hospital three times before for false alarms. Her physician, Dr. Yong Kim, planned to induce Carter on Monday, but little NyHeir couldn’t wait any longer.
The parents, who got engaged on Christmas Day, were surprised with a beautiful gift bag full of baby items donated by the hospital. A gift certificate was also donated by Bella Baby Photography.
NyHeir will be welcomed home by his siblings, twins Nailani and Steve, 5, and sister, Nevaeh, 3.
