As a not-for-profit health care organization, Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital is focused on providing benefit to the community, with the ultimate goal of improving community health and increasing access to care.
All of the net income (profit margin) generated by the hospital is reinvested back into hospital programs and services. This benefits the patients and communities we serve rather than individual owners or shareholders.
In 2012, Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital provided over $18 million in community benefit; including $4.3 million in charity care and services to the community.
The Adventist Midwest Health Hospitals, clinically integrated and tied by common Community, Mission, Vision and Values, collaborated to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment in 2013. This assessment was used to determine the most significant health needs in our surrounding communities. The data was then used to develop a Community Health Plan to improve residents’ health. A copy of the Community Health Needs Assessment and Adventist Bolingbrook’s Community Health Plan is available through the Links section below.
