It takes exceptional people to give freely of their valuable time and talents to help others. Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital needs exceptional people, like you, to join its team of volunteers.
Volunteers are an important part of Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital's staff. They help ensure every patient and visitor has the best possible experience while at the hospital. While the volunteer program is in its infancy, we're working hard to create a rich and rewarding program that you can be proud to be a part of.
A Call for Volunteers
Volunteer positions are available seven days a week and include daytime and evening hours. Assignments have been created that balance the needs of the hospital, patients and your areas of interest.
Every effort is made to make sure our volunteers will have a positive and rewarding experience from the choice of a modern, comfortable uniform to the use of state-of-the-art software that allows volunteers to access their record from home. We offer our volunteers many benefits, including an annual celebration and recognition event. Get started today by filling out an application.
Who Can Volunteer?
We invite anyone interested in sharing in our mission to serve our community to be a volunteer at ABH. Additionally, we require that volunteers:
- Be at least 14 and have completed 8th grade
- Be physically able to work on selected assignments
- Commit to a regular schedule of two to four hours a week for a minimum of six months
- Provide proof of immunizations and take an annual TB test
- Attend all training and in-service sessions as required by the Volunteer Department.
