Each room in the Emergency Department is private so you and your family can support one another without distractions from other patients.  There are 20 patient rooms, with two specialized trauma rooms for more severe situations. 

The Emergency Department also has five rooms that are specially designated for taking care of little ones.  These rooms have been beautifully decorated with a custom-designed mural featuring familiar scenes from Chicago, including Navy Pier, the Shedd Aquarium and the Lincoln Park Zoo.

Our Emergency Room experience offers two major benefits over ordinary hospitals.  We are focused on minimizing the wait.  We do this through bedside registration and a system that has been designed with flow of patients in mind.

All of our physicians are board certified and credentialed for Advanced Critical Life Support (ACLS) and PALS, which is a specific certification for Advanced Life Support for children.
