Physician Leadership
- Organize and coordinate medical staff and other patient-care related professional services to assure appropriate physician coverage
- Advise the organization on physician credentialing and performance expectations
- Provide feedback to physicians and other health care practitioners on performance and practices
Patient Care - Clinical Leadership
- Participate in administrative decision-making and recommend policies and procedures to ensure adequate, comprehensive services
- Ensure all health care professionals practice within the scope of their license
Quality of Care
- Participate in the surveillance of staff health, welfare and safety
- Ensure the appropriateness and quality of medical and medically-related care
- Consult in developing and maintaining an adequate medical record system
Education, Information and Communication
- Develop and conduct education programs for both staff and community
- Represent the facility and support it's mission within the community
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures that ensure that patient rights are respected
