Students/applicants should apply to the Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program through the Electronic Residency Applicant Service (ERAS) via U.S. medical schools and the ECFMG. PAPER APPLICATIONS AND/OR EMAIL APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

- USMLE or COMLEX scores – All components associated with USMLE 1 and 2 or COMLEX 1 and 2 must be passed prior to match deadline. Numeric scores and number of attempts are greatly considered.

Requirements for IMG Applications
- USMLE scores – All components associated with USMLE 1 and 2 must be passed prior to match deadline. Numeric scores and number of attempts are greatly considered.
- Completion of six months clinical training (flexible/rotation/transitional or fifth pathway) in an ACGME approved hospital in the U. S. or Canada.
- Graduation from medical school within two (2) years of application. If longer than two years, consideration will be given to those applicants who have been in active practice or residency in the past two years in an ACGME approved program. If you have no formal program of medical education or cannot demonstrate active practice of medicine within the two years immediately preceding application for Illinois license, you must demonstrate professional capacity. Please see the Medical Practice Act of 1987 Section 9 (B) (4) and Section 1285.110b (3) of the Rule of the Illinois Dept. of Professional and Financial Regulation. Interviews
Upon acceptance of your application, Barbara Sturtevant, Residency Coordinator, will contact you to arrange an interview. You will meet with the Program Director, faculty and residents. Residents will show you our facilities, take you to lunch and address your questions. Deadline for ERAS applications is December 1, 2011. For out of town applicants, one night’s lodging is provided.
