Behavioral Health
Adventist Midwest Health’s dedication to “keeping you well” embraces physical, spiritual and emotional wellness. Behavioral Health Services available through the Adventist Midwest Health network focus on the emotional, or psychological, dimension of wellness. We offer comprehensive, comp
assionate and respectful care for adults, older adults and adolescents who are experiencing emotional crises or psychiatric, behavioral or addiction disorders.
Behavioral health services are physician-directed, and are provided on a centralized basis by the hospitals of Adventist Midwest Health. Centralizing our resources enables our teams to offer the most supportive services and interventions for people throughout Chicago’s western and southwestern suburbs.
Outpatient Services
Outpatient services for adults of all ages, including the Partial Hospitalization Program, are provided through Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, the New Day Center for Addiction, and the OPTIONS Outpatient Behavioral Health Center.
Outpatient services for adolescents and teens are offered at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital and through the Therapeutic Day School.
Inpatient Services
Inpatient services for adults are provided within the dedicated, 58-bed Behavioral Health Unit at Adventist GlenOaks Hospital. This soothing environment features specially targeted designated areas for groups with different needs: geriatric patients, adults with chronic mental illness, and those with shorter-term need for hospitalization. Within the hospital setting, patients benefit from intensive intervention that provides a stabilizing foundation for ongoing outpatient-based support after they return home.
Adolescents in need of short-term hospitalization may be referred from Adventist GlenOaks Hospital to appropriate resources in the community.
